Through Builders Brisbane, we assist clients on their property investment journeys, offering expertise in subdivisions, consulting, granny flats, new homes, duplexes, and townhouse construction. We also specialise in custom homes through our flagship brand, W Collection Homes, which combines the bespoke design experience with the ease of pre-defined specifications and inclusions, creating seamless, resort-style living solutions.Since taking over a family business in 2021, our director, Sean, has led us through a transformative period of growth, quadrupling our size by 2024.

As a Site Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day management of job sites, ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and client expectations. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will act as the key liaison between the office, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of high-quality construction projects while working in a supportive and growth-focused environment.

As a Site Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day management of job sites, ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and client expectations. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will act as the key liaison between the office, and subcontractors, with occasional client contact for handovers. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of high-quality construction projects while working in a supportive and growth-focused environment.

We thoroughly beleive that site supervisors lead from the ground up. That is, we don't expect you to be wielding massive gantt charts or complicated scheduling workflows. Instead, you are a problem solver, thinking on your feet and being the gateway that translates the theoritcal vision to the happenings on site.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise job sites, ensuring all work is completed in compliance with NCC standards, QBCC tolerances, engineering drawings, and project plans.
  • Coordinate and oversee suppliers and subcontractors to ensure efficient and effective site operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, conducting site inspections and handovers at key build stages.
  • Relay site conditions, progress, and potential issues to project managers and office staff.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and company standards are upheld on job sites.
  • Address and resolve any construction-related challenges that arise during the build process.
  • Oversee the management of timber and framing sheds.
  • Contribute to the development of new construction processes and methods as needed.
  • Manage supplier negotiations, purchasing, and supplier relationships temporarily until full-time supervisory responsibilities are in place.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: Proven experience in site supervision, construction management, or a related field, ideally in residential construction.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of NCC standards, QBCC standards, construction practices, and engineering drawings.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with clients, team members, and subcontractors. We have some great tools to help you grow in this area as well.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple job sites, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. We try to keep our site supervisors to a max of 12 concurrent projects.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to proactively address and resolve issues that arise during construction, being keen to get stuck in and give the guys a hand when they need.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with construction management tools and software is an advantage, but your true strength
